Bali Becomes Environmentally Friendly, With Electric Vehicles Everywhere: A Plan by Luhut

The topic of environmentally friendly areas is not something new, since the topic of environment protection has always been a concern globally, and Indonesia is no exception. A lot of plans have been put in place in order to better conserve the environment, from something small as applying environmentally friendly processes in businesses, to something large scale as carbon tax, and in this news we will focus on the plan of making Bali an environmentally friendly area.

Bali will be transformed into one of the most environmentally friendly islands in Indonesia. This is one of the big plans of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. Luhut invites entrepreneurs to invest in the provision of electric vehicle energy charging station infrastructure. According to him, the island of Bali is one of the promising places for such investment. the use of electric vehicles in Bali will be accelerated and reproduced.

Furthermore, Luhut stated that over the next 3-4 years the use of fossil-based energy in Bali will be reduced. At its peak, Bali will become an environmentally friendly island. One concrete step to realize the plan is to increase the number of electric vehicles. This will also be realized with the G20 Summit in Bali next year.

Luhut emphasized that at the summit, the official car used would be based on electrical energy. The preparation of electric motorcycles will also be boosted ahead of the G20 Summit. Therefore, at the beginning, Luhut invited entrepreneurs to invest in infrastructure for charging stations for electric vehicles in Bali.
